2a. Information you provide
- Quote lookups: Street addresses entered for quote generation. These are processed through third-party APIs but are not permanently linked to your identity unless you submit a lead request.
- Lead submissions: Name, email address, phone number, property address, and optional notes when you request service through a quote widget.
- Contractor registration: Name, email, phone, company name, website, and service area when registering as a contractor.
- Contact form submissions: Name, email, subject, and message content.
2b. Information collected automatically
- Analytics data (with consent): Page views, session duration, device type, browser type, and approximate location via Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. This data is only collected if you accept cookies.
- Server logs: IP address, request URL, timestamp, and user agent for security and rate limiting purposes. IP addresses in audit logs are retained for 2 years.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To generate instant lawn care quotes based on your address
- To connect you with lawn care contractors when you submit a lead request
- To process contractor registrations and manage subscriptions
- To send transactional emails (confirmations, notifications, account updates)
- To respond to contact form inquiries
- To improve and optimize the Service through analytics
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service
- To comply with legal obligations
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only in the following circumstances:
- With contractors: When you submit a lead request, your name, email, phone, address, and quote details are shared with the contractor whose widget you used.
- With service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform (see Subprocessor List below). These providers process your data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or governmental request.

Essential cookies (such as session cookies for logged-in users) do not require consent and are necessary for the Service to function.
7. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Data retained while the account is active
- Inactive accounts (no login for 12 months): Reactivation email at 10 months, archive at 12 months, delete at 18 months
- Deleted accounts: Personal data anonymized within 30 days, fully deleted within 90 days
- Transaction records: Retained for 7 years (IRS requirements)
- Audit logs: Retained for a minimum of 2 years
- Quote data (anonymous): Address lookups without lead submissions are retained for analytics purposes but are not linked to identifiable users
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Right to access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data. We will anonymize associated records and fully delete within 90 days.
- Right to data portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
- Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for analytics tracking at any time by clearing your cookie preferences.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), hashed passwords, parameterized database queries, rate limiting, and security headers. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice on the Service. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
