YardQuote is an instant lawn care quoting tool that uses county parcel records and satellite building data to calculate your yard size and generate a mowing price. No measuring, no site visits, no waiting for a callback. Enter an address and get a quote in seconds.

We pull your lot size from Polk County's official GIS records, then use Google's Solar API to detect the building footprint from satellite imagery. The yard area is calculated by subtracting the building footprint from the total lot. We then apply a pricing formula based on the yard square footage to generate the quote.

YardQuote combines three data sources: (1) Google Geocoding API to verify and locate your address, (2) Polk County GIS ArcGIS FeatureServer for official parcel boundaries and lot area, and (3) Google Solar API for satellite-based building footprint detection. All data is publicly available and no personal information is stored during the quote process.

Address lookups are processed through Google's APIs and Polk County's public records. We do not sell or share your personal information. If you submit a lead request (name, phone, email), that information is sent only to the contractor whose quote widget you used, plus our team for support purposes. YardQuote currently covers Polk County, Iowa (the greater Des Moines metro area). This includes Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Johnston, Urbandale, Clive, Waukee, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, and surrounding Polk County communities. We plan to expand to additional counties and states in the future.

Quotes are estimates based on publicly available data. Lot sizes come directly from county records, which are generally very accurate. Building footprints from satellite data may have minor variations. Actual pricing may differ based on yard conditions (slopes, obstacles, heavy growth) that satellite data cannot detect. We always recommend a final on-site confirmation before scheduling recurring service.
